Mummys Gold Casino:
Mummys Gold Casino has been recently acquired by The Palace Group, which is a major online casino company which also owns the hugely popular Spin Palace Casino. Mummys Gold Casino can either been played in a non download or downloadable version, this review is based on the download version (Microgaming Viper).

The download and installation take in the region of 10 minutes to complete and from my experience is a totally problem free process. Once the download has been completed, you get the opportunity to play in either fun mode or real money, to play for real money you must register your details to open an account. There are numerous options for making a deposit and I experienced no problem making a $100 deposit using NETeller.

Among others, Mummys Gold Casino offers a 100% match bonus up to the value of $25 for new players, which carries a 30 times wagering requirement. The bonus can be selected by requesting if from the casino website once you have made a deposit. There are also lots of regular promotions on offer, which you can check on the casino website promotions page.

Once in the casino - you'll notice there is a wide selection of games to choose from, with all your Microgaming Viper favorites on offer. I started the session taking some gambles on the 'scratch cards'. The idea of the game is to place a wager on the card, and then reveal the six hidden boxes encompassed in the card. If you have three boxes of the same value then your wager is multiplied by that amount. I played a hand full of these cards and never came out with a winning one, but as I was wagering small it didn't hurt too much.

Next on the agenda was the progressive table game called Joker Poker, which was flashing a $122,000 jackpot at the time of play. I made some small wins on the table during my play, but didn't make any decent poker hands. At the end of play I was some $25 down, and decided to move on to another game in search of wins. It's worth noting that Joker Poker offers expert mode, so you can use Microgaming's sophisticated autoplay feature to play this one.

In search of wins I decided that Red Dog would be a game for me, and choose to wager a flat $5 dollar a hand. However, my luck was seriously off, as I couldn't even win a 2 to 1 return, let alone anything bigger. Convinced that my luck would change, I stuck to $5 bets but after losing about eight in a row my balance was down to $40. Feeling a little sorry for myself I realized I had to leave the Red Dog table before my balance been consumed before I took a good look around the casino. So I underwent a tour of the slots starting with Bush Telegraph, which is a 15-liner over 5 reels. Betting over 15 lines gives you plenty of opportunity to get some winning spins, and I came away with a couple of nice ones.

Another slot which caught my attention was called 'Bulls Eye'. This turned out to be a single liner where the symbol of a dart players acts as a wild. I made some small wins on the machine, but finished some $10 down, after playing it for some length of time.

Another fun slot machine which I found was one called Chain Mail, which has some great looking graphics. It important to keep in mind that Mummys Gold Casino has a huge selection of slot machines and it's only been possible to cover a small proportion of them in this review.

With only about $30 left to gamble at Mummys Gold Casino I decided to test out the autoplay mode on the blackjack version called 'double exposure', wagering $2 a hand for 10 runs. After a couple of runs I was still at about the same balance as when I started.

After that, I was attracted to a video poker game called 50 Power Poker; which allows you to wager on 50 hands at a time. I played half a dozen times on the power poker and finished about $5 down.

At this point my balance was down to $26, and I realized that I had to take a large gamble to give me chance of getting a decent balance again. So I decided to put all the $26 on one blackjack hand, and luckily enough, managed to win the hand. After that I decided to go double or nothing and placed that $50 on anther blackjack hand, which came in once again. With my balance back to over $100 I considered continuing with the risky betting - but opted to take it safe and tour around some more games at the casino.

After playing some more table games and slots, my balance was just above the $110 mark - and I decided to make a withdrawal. After requesting a withdrawal to my NETeller account, I waited for about seven days without receiving the cash or hearing from Mummys Gold Casino. I emailed the casino support requesting the status of the withdrawal and for details on when I should expect the money to be transferred. However, after waiting a couple more days I had neither received the withdrawal nor a reply from the casino support. Hence I decided to send a follow up email to support, which once again I received no response. After waiting for a couple more weeks I opted to phone the casino support and force a response out of them. There I was informed that the casino system had experienced problems on the day that I requested the withdrawal, and that I should expect the money in the next couple of days. To credit of the casino the withdrawal was completed the next day. While this certainly was a long time to wait for the withdrawal it was not necessarily the main problem with my experience, but rather the low level of customer service was the main source of my dissatisfaction with the casino. For the casino to ignore a series emails from a customer is highly unprofessional and is something I have not encountered for a long time while playing online casinos. If the casino was aware of a problems with withdrawals requested on a certain day, then it would have been good practice for the casino to have taken to initiative to email the players who had been affected.

All in all, I had a mixed experience at Mummys Gold Casino; the gaming experience was second to none, encountering highs and lows on the exquisite Microgaming Viper software. However, as explained above; the slow withdrawal and substandard customer support can only be considered as a negative in my experience. But at the end of the day, I did receive my money and did come away from the casino with a little profit. So I certainly would not deter the reader from trying the casino - but I would still recommend many other Microgaming Viper casinos over Mummys Gold Casino.
