Vegas 7 Casino:
Vegas 7 Casino, despite its pretty boring name (in my opinion at least!) is actually a well-respected Microgaming-powered casino that's been running since 1999. Vegas 7 is owned and operated by the Mini Vegas Group, who also has several other well respected online casinos. Being online since 1999 is a long time in the world of online casinos. Its longevity must mean something is being done right, and so I decided to see for myself what keeps players coming back to Vegas 7 Casino.

As with the vast majority of Microgaming-powered casinos, Vegas 7 Casino can be played via a no-download interface or via a full-download software interface. However, Vegas 7 Casino has actually put some thought in to the downloading process. I say this because two downloads are available - both a 3mb and an 8mb version. The difference is that the larger version comes with pre-installed games. While some players me wonder why this has been done, I can see that those on slow connections will be grateful for the smaller-sized download. Of course, all games are downloaded in the background while the casino is running, and as such a player will eventually have the full casino available to them, regardless of the initial download they choose.

As a new player at Vegas 7, I firstly had to register my details with the casino. This is done through a standard in-casino form. As with a number of casinos, a variety of currencies are accepted at Vegas 7; including US$, Euros and UK £. I personally opted to set-up a US$ account, and within a few minutes I had registered my account and was in the casino lobby.

However, unlike usual I didn't deposit straight away. This was because I wanted to wait for me free no-deposit bonus to be added! Yes, you read correctly! All new players are thanked for signing up by the casino, who will add $11 to every new account created. While this may not seem like a huge amount of money, it's a great way to test out the casino, albeit on most occasions only for a few minutes. However, I have heard of some lucky people actually winning a jackpot of this bonus!

The free money doesn't stop there either. Once a player has made a deposit they are able to obtain a huge 150% match bonus. This means up to $75 can be claimed; which in addition to the $11 no-deposit bonus means $86 in free money is available! One thing that I did see was that the $75 bonus is instantly added upon claiming - good for players who don't like hanging around waiting.

Actually though, having said how great the 150% match bonus is, I actually decided this time not to play with a bonus. I do this on occasion, mainly because I don't like being tied in to wagering conditions. Once I hit Major Millions for $800 on a single spin, but at a really early point in my play. By the time I had met the associated wagering conditions I was down to about $50! As such, I made a $100 purchase in the casino cashier via NETeller. Of course, a wide range of depositing options are available, including a number of on-line and 'real world' purchase methods.

According to the website, over 240 games are available to play at Vegas 7 Casino, and as such a menu system is employed to make finding specific games easy. Each game also comes with a handy game preview function, allowing a person to review a game before they play or even download it. This is great, particularly when a player is looking for a game following exact rules such as with Blackjack.

To begin my play, I decided to check out the table games, of which there are about 30. These range from classic favorites such as Blackjack to more hard-to-find games such as Sic Bo and Pai Gow Poker. In fact, I decided on this occasion I would check out some of the more obscure games available.

Sic Bo is one game that I always enjoy. The concept is very simple and it is sometimes referred to as 'Chinese Craps'. Basically, a board is presented with a whole range of betting options. The payoffs for each betting option vary hugely from 1:1 to a massive 180:1. Of course, the odds of each event happening also vary hugely. Once a player has placed their bets, the dealer then rolls three dice. The outcome of the dice determines which of the betting options are winners.

I also played the Three Card Poker game. This game is great, as it gives players a game where wins occur regularly (such as Blackjack), but also offers jackpot-like payoffs for certain combinations. Basically a person is dealt three cards. If they like the cards, they can raise their ante and go to a show down with the dealer (wins are rewarded with 1:1 odds on the bet). However, the optional pair plus side bet pays out for good starting hands (e.g. a flush). This pay off is not dependent on a dealer qualification. As such, a straight flush will pay a nice 40:1 on the ante bet regardless of the dealer's cards! Incidentally, this game, along with many of the table games at Vegas 7 Casino has an excellent low minimum bet of just $0.50.

One thing I should mention here, is that all the games available at Vegas 7 Casino are presented using excellent graphics and sound effects. As such, a player really can immerse themselves in their casino play. Another great thing is that many of the features of the casino can be fully modified by the user. Sound effects, game speed and much more can all be controlled. Other features assist a player making good decisions. Little features like this really do enhance the enjoyment factor.

Unfortunately, my luck on the table games was very poor. In fact, I barely went above my starting figure, but this is how it goes sometimes. As such, I decided to move on to the Video Poker section of the casino to see if my luck would change!

The Vegas 7 Casino Video Poker selection is excellent, with a wide number of single and multi-hand games available. These multi-hand games are playable in 4, 10, 50 and even 100-hand versions. Of course, favorites such as Deuces Wild and Joker Poker are also available. So too, though, are less popular games such as All Aces poker. This variety, incidentally, will pay 2000 coins for hitting 4-Aces. This means a $5 bet (5 coins at $1) would pay out $2000! Of course, the $4000 Royal Flush jackpot is still present, even with this great additional pay out!

Sadly, my luck was really no better at all on the Video Poker games I played. The best I could manage was a $16.25 pay out on 10-hand Jacks or Better, but this was a return on a $12.50 bet - so not very impressive at all! I did slightly better whilst playing Joker Poker Power Poker, but definitely not enough to make me rich! Of course, the same high quality graphics found in Vegas 7's table games are also found in the Video Poker games available. In fact, in my personal opinion the machines available at Vegas 7 Casino are better than many of those found in real world casinos!

Finally, I checked out some of the slot games available, but couldn't really take part in too much play because my bank roll was almost at zero! Nevertheless, a huge selection of games are available, and these vary from classic-style 3-reel games to huge progressive machines which jackpots in the millions. There are also an excellent number of video slots with cool wild card symbols, multipliers and great features. Many of these include free win rounds where all wins are multiplied - a great way to boost one's bank balance!

One game I particularly enjoyed was the What on Earth game. This game features cool graphics of planets, asteroids, rockets and even the odd alien! The bonus round can also be great fun - a player selects an 'alien' who 'beams ups' something from earth. The item beamed up then triggers one of a number of bonus rounds. All end up though in the player receiving a nice pay off!

I also played the cleverly named Bar Bar Black sheep game. This is a simple 3-reel game with just one pay line. Again though, while I had a few successes on this slot; the majority of my spins were losers. Slots definitely play like this though - lots of losing spins and then hopefully the odd jackpot or two! In fact, my bank roll shot up to near the $100 mark again at one point, but a few spins later I was back down to zero. At no point had I made a profit, but I guess you cannot win all the time!

On this occasion there was no cash in to be made. However, cash-ins are processed efficiently at Vegas 7 Casino. Withdrawals pend for 24 hours, after which they are processed without delay. This usually means all funds are with the player within around 72 hours.

When it comes to support at Vegas 7 Casino, this is provided around the clock, every day of the year. A selection of contact options are available, including email and toll-free telephone numbers. There is even a 'call me back' facility meaning a person can speak via telephone to a support representative free of charge no matter where they live in the world. This is excellent, and is something that rates Vegas 7 Casino highly in my book.

To conclude, I can see why Vegas 7 Casino is continuing to do well. A great number of high quality games are available and excellent in-casino features further enhance the playability of the casino. Support works excellently, as does the banking function. With a free bonus available for signing-up with no deposit needed, I really do think Vegas 7 is a casino worth checking out. If only I could have won, my experience would have been perfect!
